We have all been there! That sudden panic when you get to the ticket barrier at a London tube station and realise you've misplaced your Oyster Card. You soon realise its in your gym bag. Well, designer Lucie Davis has solved that problem by designing an acrylic mani that could technically have an Oyster chip. The 22-year-old graduate from Central St Martins created Oyster-acrylics as part of her final collection earlier this year. The design includes one nail carries the chip that allows you to top-up and touch in and out. “It was about relating the idea of ‘touching in’ and ‘touching out’ to the body. I guess I just wanted people’s commute to be a little less mindless. I wanted a fashionable, fun attachment — a new form of jewellery and adornment.” We may need to wait a while until the idea gets final sign off from TFL however good news is TFL are open to discussions.
